Solar Powered BitCoin S3 Bitmain Miner FREE BTC!




This is a 100 watt Renogy Solar Powered Bitcoin Miner, that mines my BTC, completely free of charge! Thats rite! This baby powers my Energizer 1100 watt power inverter, which powers my 1x 500 watt EVGA Power supply (PSU), which powers my S3 Bitmain Miner, completely FREE!! After cost of products of course. I did do this more of a hobbie kind of thing, for now, with hopes that one day it may just payoff!! 😀

Really cool idea… would love to see how you get on with the U3's ; it's worth looking into submersion (so you don't need the fans connected) in Mineral Oil (food grade) — could save you some power loss. Would love to know if you tried direct to the battery.

To run one S3 antminer you work need a minimum of four 100Watt panels to supply the required 340 Watts the extra 60 Watts will be used up the inefficiency of the ATX power supply, solar charger and thats if you can get 100% power output on the panels on the roof otherwise you will just drain the battery thats why it only lasted 45mins

As already pointed out by other members, this set up is flawed.
You would be better off losing the inverter and psu, Then charging the battery during the day and running the miner directly from the battery when charged for 45 mins. I' d suggest that you mined something other than bitcoin with it though because you will have a hard time finding a bitcoin pool that is set up to pay you anything with such sporadic mining. Alternatively, you could get a lot more solar panels and batteries and while you are at it maybe a wind generator too just to give it some power at night perhaps, so I guess it is only sensible to suggest that you also use a more efficient miner too, seeing as you would have to go to the expense of doing all that anyway. This is an interesting project but it is certainly not FREE bitcoin!

Cool. Having a device that runs at 12v I would suggest you to connect it to the battery directly (well, almost directly in order to avoid supplying more than 12v), it is way more power efficient.

Okay so after my first day mining with the battery FULLY Charged and the Sun Beaming down on the panel, the S3 will only run for about 45 mins.. This is with the S3 running at normal speeds (118 Freq.) and 440 Gh/s. IM SAD TO SAY THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS… As I do plan on adding either a bigger battery or another 35ah Battery to my panel. Until then, I Hope to hook up a couple Bitmain Antminer U3's, overclocked of course, off this setup for now at least. But first I will have to mine enough BTC to afford those babies first though ($80). I WILL POST ANY UPDATES ACCORDINGLY.

First time I've ever down-thumbed a video. What you've done here is awesome for sure! It's the claims you posted that I have a problem with – very misleading. You cannot power an Antminer S3 that consumes 366-watts (not including power losses through the EVGA Power Supply, Inverter, Battery etc.) for a very long period of time.  Profitable Bitcoin Mining requires 24/7 operation to be viable. That's not going to happen here without another power source! It's still pretty cool though. Experimentation like this is what's going to eventually evolve  alternative energy technology. Claims like this are outlandish though and end up costing folks their hard earned money. It's simple algebra and ohms law for anyone out there that wants to study up on it.

12V to 230V or 110V than back to 12V thats not very efficient and then how should a 100w panel Power this 1100w inverter
